TV Ratings for 2019 Women’s World Cup Championship Outperform Men’s Final

The television ratings for 2019 Women's World Cup Championship outperformed the last men's final in the United States.

The U.S. won their second straight championship following a 2-0 victory over the Netherlands.

According to 'The Hollywood Reporter,' the match garnered a 10.0 household rating.

2019's championship still fell short of the ratings for the previous women's final match in 2015.

America's 5-2 win over Japan in Canada grabbed a record 15.2 rating. This year, the U.S. and Netherlands began play at 11 A.M., while in 2015 the final started during primetime hours.

The television ratings for 2019 Women's World Cup Championship outperformed the last men's final in the United States.
