Providence Police Coronavirus Cases Climb — 19 on Force Now Out

The number of Providence police out with coronavirus has nearly doubled in less than a week.

On November 5, Providence police had ten members reportedly out with COVID-19.

Now, that number has risen to at least 19, on a force that hovers around 400.

Latest Numbers

On Monday, the RI Department of Health reported over 1600 new cases statewide over the weekend, for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 

The number of hospitalizations has climbed to over 200 with 212 on Monday, with 27 people in the ICU. 

Governor Gina Raimondo will be LIVE on Thursday to address coronavirus in the state. 

Last week, Raimondo introduced seven new coronavirus restrictions during her weekly press conference.
